If you like pears and cinnamon - you gonna love this one! CAUTION: Takes 1-1/2 to 2 hours of stirring

Ingredients

  • 8 cups chopped or coarsly ground peeled pears (about 5 pounds)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

How To Make spiced pear jam

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a large kettle.
  • Step 2
    Simmer, uncovered for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until think, stirring constantly
  • Step 3
    Stir more frequently as mixture thickens.
  • Step 4
    Information Preparation for Jams etc… I use a large roasting pan with jars – bring water to boil, then turn to simmer. Place lids covered in water in small sauce pan; bring to boil and then turn down to low Have 2 dish towels – 1 for under items to fill jars and one folded in half to place filled jars upside down
