Ingredients
- 3 quarts figs
- 6 cups sugar
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons broken cinnamon sticks
- 2 tablespoons whole cloves
How To Make spiced figs

Step 1Cover figs with water and let stand 5 minutes. minutes.

Step 2Mix sugar, vinegar, water, cinnamon, and cloves (tie spices in a cheesecloth bag), and bring to a boil. Add drained figs, return to boil and simmer 10 minutes. Let stand 24 hours.

Step 3Second day: Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Let stand 24 hours.

Step 4Third day: Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Remove spice bag. Pack in sterile jars. Process in a boiling water bath canner (212 degrees F.) for 10 minutes.
