plum, red pear, and ginger jelly
This is a great tasting jelly, that just came to be because I had this in my refrigerator at the time. It is very good, especially on biscuits or even scones.

Ingredients
- 3 - plums
- 3 - red pears
- 1/2 - ginger root
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 quart water
- 3-5 - envelopes of knox unflavored gelatin
How To Make plum, red pear, and ginger jelly

Step 1Peel plums, pears, and ginger. Then slice paper thin or as small as possible.

Step 2Then boil in water. Reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for 30-45min.

Step 3Place in food processor. Puree/liquefy.

Step 4Return to pot. Add sugar and whisk.

Step 5Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.

Step 6Then while whisking, add the envelopes of gelatin, one at a time.

Step 7Make sure to not leave any clumps.

Step 8Pour into sterilized jars, leaving 1/2in gap.

Step 9Can using water bath process.
