Mama had a lot of pear on her tree this year and I was looking for something different to make when I came across this recipe from Paula Deen. I did change it up some, she doesn't puree her pears and I cooked it longer.
1Put pears and pineapple in blender or food processor and puree. Put into large pot add lemon juice and sugar. When it begins to boil turn heat down and cook 1 hour or until desired thickness, stirring occasionally (Paula Deen cooks her for 30 minutes.)Pour into hot jars and seal.
