If you can peaches save the skin & pits.I found this in a kerr canning book.Darn i wasted alot of good stuff years ago.

peach pits & peelings

sure jell

How to Make peach jelly

Step-by-Step

  • 1Wash peaches,peel & stone saving both pit & peeling.In a pot cook pits & peeling with water to cover for 10 mins.Drain and measure juice use as per recipe in sure-jell.
  • 2Also next recipe cover pits &peelings with water and boil until juice is well extracted.To each pint juice add 1 pint of apple pectin & juice 1/2 lemon.Bring to boil add3/4 cup sugar to each cup of juice.Boilrapidly to jelly stage.
  • 3Apple pectin can be made at home alot of work just use sure-jell.
