No one in my family likes cranberry sauce from a can, so it was time I made something that would be eaten. My sister-in-law gave this her stamp of approval. Pretty tasty!

Ingredients

  • 1
    bag of fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    sweet orange marmelade
  • 1 can(s)
    mandarin oranges

How to Make Orange cranberry sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. put everything except mandarin oranges in heavy saucepan and cook uncovered on slow simmer for about 30 -40 minutes, stirring frequently
  2. Drain oranges, break them up slightly then add and continue cooking about 20 minutes more.
  3. When this cools it will jell nicely. I use the leftovers for cranberry fluff dessert that is delicious.
