    washed, cut or whole, figs
  • 1 lb
  • ·
    juice of 1 lemon
  • ·
    rind of 1 lemon

How to Make Fig Preserves


  1. combine ingredients & let mixture boil as hard as it will.
  2. After preserves begin to thicken, test by placing a small amount in the freezer. If syrup jells quickly, preserves are done.
  3. Put preserves in hot sterilized jars & seal. Will make about 3 pints.
