- 2 pounds washed, cut or whole, figs
- 1 pound sugar
- - juice of 1 lemon
- - rind of 1 lemon
How To Make fig preserves

Step 1combine ingredients & let mixture boil as hard as it will.

Step 2After preserves begin to thicken, test by placing a small amount in the freezer. If syrup jells quickly, preserves are done.

Step 3Put preserves in hot sterilized jars & seal. Will make about 3 pints.
