This jam is super simple to make and is great on a biscuit or scone and it is on a cheese plate. I even used this jam to make a glaze for our Easter Ham last year and it was INCREDIBLE! Hope you like it as much as we do! Thanks Monica

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped dried figs i used dark and light ones
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon
  • 1/4 cup wine, i used chardonnay cause it's what i like
  • - pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • - drizzle of honey

How To Make fig jam

  • Step 1
    In a sauce pan on low head add the water and the chopped figs and the sugar, simmer for about 15 minutes. Add the wine and continue to simmer another 10 minutes
  • Step 2
    Place the figs and juice in the food processor and add lemon and honey and a pinch of salt and pulse until it's smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  • Step 3
    This spread is great on muffins, scones, toast etc as well as great with a cheese plate or on a grilled cheese. I even used it to make a glaze for our Easter ham last year was great~
