delightful apple butter
This recipe is simmered in a crock pot for a total of 24 hours. I have been told that it's not as sweet as they are used to and others say it's just perfect, not too sweet. ENJOY!

How To Make delightful apple butter
-
Step 1Peel, core and slice your apples. Hopefully you have a fancy gadget that does it all for you. Fill your crock pot clear to the top where the lid just about sits on top of all the apples.
-
Step 2**** I use crock pot liners, helps with the mess and works fabulously **** Pour your apple cider on top and cook on low for 14 hours. I usually like to do it just before I go to bed.
-
Step 3After 14 hours, ladle your apples in a food processor a little at a time and puree. You will need to have a bowl to place the finished product as you go
-
Step 4After all is pureed, place your product back into your crock pot.
-
Step 5Add your sugar and spices, stir to blend and cook for another 10 hours.
-
Step 6Now your ready to start canning!
-
Step 7These make wonderful gifts. Have fun!!!!
