Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1 large orange
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

How To Make cranberry sauce

  • Step 1
    Rinse cranberries and place in a slow cooker.
  • Step 2
    Rinse orange. Zest into cooker.
  • Step 3
    Peel the orange, cut it, and place it in the blender. Pulse. Place in the slow cooker.
  • Step 4
    Add 1 cup of sugar.
  • Step 5
    Add 1/2 cup of water.
  • Step 6
    Turn the slow cooker on high for 5 hours. Turn off, remove lid, and allow to cool. It will start to thicken.
  • Step 7
    If you wish to can, after you have turned off the cooker, heat your jars and lids.
  • Step 8
    Fill jars, place on lids, and place upside down in hot water. Turn off the heat and allow to cool. When you remove jars, the lids will be set.
