How to Make Carmel apple jam
- Combine apples,water & butter in a heavy pan cook & stir over low heat until apples are soft.Depends on the type of apples used how long to cook firm apples will take longer. I use from are trees so mine take about 20 mins.After apples are soft stir in pectin and bring to rolling boil.
- Stirring constantly now add both sugars,cinnnamon & nutmeg.Return to a full boil for 1 min stirring.Remove from heat skim foam from top ladle into hot jelly jars leaving 1/4 head space
- process in water bath canner 10 mins.
