How to Make Canned Apple Pie Mix
- Prepare 8 quart jars for canning.
- Wash, peel,core and slice apples. Fill all jars with the sliced apples.
- Blend first 4 ingredients. Add salt and 10 cups of water. Cook until it starts to bubble and thickens. Add lemon juice, food coloring and pour over sliced apples in jars.
- Seal jars up and cook 20 minutes in hot water bath. Makes 8 quarts of delicious apple pie filling that you can use in the winter time for a very good apple pie.
