  • 4 c
    apple juice
  • 1/2 c
    red hot candies
  • 1 pkg
    (1-3/4 ounces) powdered fruit pectin
  • 4-1/2 c
    sugar
  • 6- 1/2 pt
    jars

How to Make CANDY APPLE JELLY

Step-by-Step

  1. IN A LARGE KETTLE, COMBINE APPLE JUICE, CANDIES AND PECTIN. BRING TO A FULL BOIL OVER HIGH HEAT STIRRING CONSTANTLY.
  2. STIR IN SUGAR, RETURN TO A FULL ROLLING BOIL. BOIL FOR 2 MINUTES STIRRING CONSTANTLY.
  3. REMOVE FROM HEAT, SKIM OFF ANY FOAM AND UNDISSOLVED CANDIES.
  4. POUR HOT LIQUID INTO HOT JARS, LEAVING 1/4" HEADSPACE.
  5. ADJUST CAPS. PROCESS FOR 5 MINUTES IN A BOILING HOT BATH.
  6. YIELDS: ABOUT 6 HALF PINTS
