  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 1/2 cup red hot candies
  • 1 package (1-3/4 ounces) powdered fruit pectin
  • 4-1/2 cups sugar
  • 6- 1/2 pints jars

How To Make candy apple jelly

  • Step 1
    IN A LARGE KETTLE, COMBINE APPLE JUICE, CANDIES AND PECTIN. BRING TO A FULL BOIL OVER HIGH HEAT STIRRING CONSTANTLY.
  • Step 2
    STIR IN SUGAR, RETURN TO A FULL ROLLING BOIL. BOIL FOR 2 MINUTES STIRRING CONSTANTLY.
  • Step 3
    REMOVE FROM HEAT, SKIM OFF ANY FOAM AND UNDISSOLVED CANDIES.
  • Step 4
    POUR HOT LIQUID INTO HOT JARS, LEAVING 1/4" HEADSPACE.
  • Step 5
    ADJUST CAPS. PROCESS FOR 5 MINUTES IN A BOILING HOT BATH.
  • Step 6
    YIELDS: ABOUT 6 HALF PINTS
