banana-nut bread butter

I found this jam recipe in an old Sure Jell box, and haven't found it anywhere sence. It is a great way to use bananas up and tastes great. Hove given the recipe to lots of friends and have given jars as gifts, it never fails to please.

Ingredients
- 3 cans mashed bananas
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
- 4 cans granulated sugar
- 1/2 can brown sugar
- 1 box fruit pectin, powdered
- 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cans walnut pieces
How To Make banana-nut bread butter

Step 1mash bananas. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg and lemon walnuts.

Step 2In a seperate bowl measure sugar and set aside.

Step 3In a saucepan, stir pectin into banana mixture. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar quickly. Return to a full rolling boil and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and ladle into clean hot jilly jars. Let set at room templ. for 24 hrs befor storeing.
