White Wine Blue Cheese Sauce

This is a unique, mild-flavored sauce that tastes very decadent, rich and extrememly hard to pull off. However, this sauce is very easy to make and makes you look like a gourmet cheif!

1-2 large
green onion, finely chopped
1 clove
garlic, minced
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
all-purpose flour
2/3 c
fat-free milk
3-4 Tbsp
crumbled blue cheese - or more to taste
1 Tbsp
white wine

How to Make White Wine Blue Cheese Sauce


  • 1In a small saucepan, saute onions and garlic in butter until tender. Sprinkle with flour; stir until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add cheese and wine; heat through. Serve sauce with roast or pork.
