~ Perfect White Gravy ~
Use bacon drippings or butter, it's all up to you.
2 Tbspbacon drippings or butter
1 1/4 cmilk - more to thin if needed
Freshcracked black pepper - i use 6 - 7 turns of the pepper mill
Koshersalt to taste ( i use about 1/2 tsp )
How to Make ~ Perfect White Gravy ~
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat bacon fat or melt butter to bubbling. Once bubbling, whisk in flour and continue cooking and whisking for 1 - 2 minutes, watch not to burn.
Whisk in the milk and continue stirring as mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Season to taste with pepper and salt.
If preparing ahead, may need to thin out with a bit more milk. It's a great gravy for adding sausage or chipped beef to serve over biscuits or toast.
