Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 1/4to1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons heaping tablespoons of flour
  • 2/3 pint tomato juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 pint milk
  • - - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make tomato gravy

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in grease until soft, add flour, brown lightly, add tomato juice, Let boil up. Add baking soda, stirring well, add milk and come to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 2
    Delicious on bread or biscuts.
