i like adding veggies to this so ya get veggies for breakfast... hubby makes this at least once a month

Ingredients For sausage gravy

  • 1 lb
    fav pork sausage
  • 1 sm
    onion,chopped fine
  • 1 sm
    bell peppers,chopped fine[mix of green and red]
  • 1 sm
    carrot,grated
  • 1
    handful,fresh spinach,chopped
  • 2 c
    1% milk
  • 1/4 c
    flour with salt and pepper added to taste

How To Make sausage gravy

  • 1
    in lg fry pan cook sausage til no longer pink...add onion,pepper,carrot...cook and stir bout 10 min,add spinach cook 5 min more while this cooks whisk flour into 1/2 c the milk... once veggies are done pour rest of milk into pan then add flour/milk mix cook and stir til it bubbles

    serve this on biscuits with a poached egg...oh and a lg glass yur fav juice[mine is diet cran/pomagranete]

    i've even fixed this for dinner and served it over mashed potatoes,rice,or pasta
