Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups turkey broth
  • - pan drippings
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make perfect turkey gravy

  • The key to perfect turkey gravy is the fat separator
    Step 1
    Drain all turkey drippings into a gravy separator.
  • Use a sealed container
    Step 2
    Make a slurry using 1/2 cup flour and 1 cup water in a shaker or tightly sealed jar. Shake vigorously.
  • After draining off all the liquid place roasting pan on burners
    Step 3
    Place roasting pan over two burners on medium high heat. Add just enough water to roasting pan to scrape drippings from sides and bottom of pan.
  • Deglaze with a bit of water then add slurry
    Step 4
    Whisking continually add slurry
  • Whisk continually
    Step 5
    Add turkey broth a little at a time while continuing to whisk briskly until gravy is desired consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper
