Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 8 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups heavy cream (can replace with milk if desired)
  • 1-2 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How To Make peppered gravy

  • Step 1
    in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. combine with flower and cook until flower and butter is slightly browned.
  • Step 2
    add pepper and salt to butter/flour mixture. stir until combined.
  • Step 3
    slowly whisk in the heavy cream until combined, may add more cream until its the consistency you want it
