This is a lovely roasted garlic and parmesan Alfredo sauce. Great served over pasta ! I love the flavor of the roasted garlic in this sauce. Add some pasta and/or meat and a salad and you have a meal ! I add *8 oz. of pasta to this sauce for Pasta Alfredo. (it makes 4 servings of that) Ummm um, it's sooo good !! *pre cooked weight I also recommend using the wedges of cheeses, grating yourself and NOT the canned stuff. Makes a world difference !

How To Make roasted garlic alfredo sauce, millie's

  • 1
Grate cheeses and fine dice the onion and set aside. If you're roasting your own garlic then mince it. I used the roasted garlic in a jar.
  • 2
Add olive oil to hot pan. Add onion a sauté for a minute or two, just till they are translucent.
  • 3
Add garlic and cook about another minute. Now add in the butter.
  • 4
Once the butter is melted add in the flour and cook for two minutes.
  • 5
Now add in the milk or cream , stirring while you do so.
  • 6
When hot, add in the cheeses and pasta water. Reduce the heat and cook till cheese is melted. You can taste and see if you want to add in salt and pepper, but I did not use them as the cheeses are pretty salty as it is. Serve over pasta.
