This gravy is "almost" sinful over hot butter southern style biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound country sausage
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small sweet white onion, chopped fine
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 tablespoons sun dried tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • - fresh parsley
  • - cornstarch
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make over the top sausage gravy

  • Step 1
    Saute chopped onion in oil in large skillet until tender.
  • Step 2
    Add sausage and beef (crumbled) and cook until there is no pink in the meats. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  • Step 3
    Add milk and half and half and het until bubbling.
  • Step 4
    Salt and pepper to taste, then thicken with cornstarch mixed in water.
  • Step 5
    Pour into a serving bowl and garnish with cheese. tomatoes and parsley.
