Ingredients
- 1 package brown gravy mix
- 1/2 cup water, to cover
- 1/2 cup red wine (not cooking wine)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1-2 tablespoon butter or olive oil to cook mushrooms
- 1 package sliced fresh mushrooms (8 oz)
How To Make horseradish and mushroom gravy for steaks

Step 1Combine the gravy mix, water, red wine, and prepared horseradish sauce in a saucepan. Mix well.

Step 2In a skillet, saute mushrooms in olive oil or butter until they are tender and have released their moisture. Set aside.

Step 3Bring gravy mixture to a boil and then reduce heat - simmer (stirring constantly) until thickened.

Step 4Add mushrooms to gravy and spoon over steak.
