gravy "in a pinch!"

To me, this gravy is so much better than the gravy in a jar. I double this recipe made with beef stock, when I'm serving Meatballs and Gravy. Hubby is in total heaven! I season with all the seasonings listed below, but you can season to your own taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 16 ounces beef or chicken stock
  • SEASONINGS OF YOUR CHOICE
  • - parsley flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, to please your taste

How To Make gravy "in a pinch!"

  • Step 1
    In a sauce pan melt the butter. Add the flour and make a paste.
  • Step 2
    Gradually add the stock, stirring so there are no lumps.
  • Step 3
    Over medium heat, bring to a boil, continue stirring. Cook for about 5 minutes until gravy thickens.
