My mother never made giblet gravy. This is a combination of recipes to come up with my own version because my son loves giblet gravy.

Stove Top


  • 1/2 c
    boiled chicken, chopped fine
  • 3 Tbsp
    chicken and dressing, before it is cooked
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 tsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
    boiled egg, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1 Tbsp
    plain flour

How to Make Giblet Gravy


  1. Using a sauce pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  2. Add the meat, poultry seasoning and raw stuffing to the mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and room temperature butter. Mix well with a fork.
  4. Add to the boiling stock, stirring constantly.
  5. Reduce heat and continue to cook for 2 - 3 minutes. add more broth if too thick. Add the seasonings, then add the boiled egg. Serve warm with chicken and dressing.
