My mother never made giblet gravy. This is a combination of recipes to come up with my own version because my son loves giblet gravy.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup boiled chicken, chopped fine
  • 3 tablespoons chicken and dressing, before it is cooked
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - boiled egg, chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour

How To Make giblet gravy

  • Step 1
    Using a sauce pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  • Step 2
    Add the meat, poultry seasoning and raw stuffing to the mixture.
  • Step 3
    In a separate bowl, mix the flour and room temperature butter. Mix well with a fork.
  • Step 4
    Add to the boiling stock, stirring constantly.
  • Step 5
    Reduce heat and continue to cook for 2 - 3 minutes. add more broth if too thick. Add the seasonings, then add the boiled egg. Serve warm with chicken and dressing.
