easy "salisbury steaks" and gravy

This gravy is easy to make (and is good with fried or mashed potatoes as well).

Ingredients

  • 1 package veggie burgers
  • GRAVY
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced, rings separated
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons beef base (i use a "no beef" beef base)
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make easy "salisbury steaks" and gravy

  • Step 1
    Mix together water and beef base and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Place oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and saute until soft.
  • Step 3
    Add mushrooms and saute about 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly add water/beef mixture, salt and pepper; bring to a boil and thicken.
  • Step 5
    Add veggies burgers, reduce heat and simmer until burgers are heated through, about 5 minutes.
