This is a simple aujus that goes well with most beef or steak dishes. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 cup butter or better than butter, the pan drippings from some type of beef
  • salt to taste

How To Make easy au jus

  • Step 1
    Heat your beef fat drippings or butter in skillet
  • Step 2
    Add flour and brown in pan with beef fat drippings. NOTE: This sauce is not thick like a gravy, it's a thin broth, the flour just gives it a little substance, but it's shouldn't be thick.
  • Step 3
    Add onion powder and beef broth.
  • Step 4
    Bring just to a boil and turn off.
  • Step 5
    Salt to taste.
  • Step 6
    Ladel into small ramekins or dipper cups. Serve with roast beef, steak, French dip sandwich or any beef you like!
