Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon shredded orange peel
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup currant jelly
  • 2 tablespoons claret wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

How To Make cumberland sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine orange peel, orange juice, jelly, claret, and ginger in a saucepan. Heat till jelly melts, stirring occasionally
  • Step 2
    Blend cornstarch, and lemon juice till smooth; stir into jelly mixture. Cook and stir till mixture is thick and bubbly; cook 1 to 2 minutes longer
  • Step 3
    Serve hot or cold
