Ingredients For creamy mushroom sauce with garlic and dijon

  • 2 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 2 c
    portabella mushrooms, sliced (or button mushrooms)
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried basil
  • 2 tsp
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    white wine
  • 2 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 1/4 c
    whipping cream

How To Make creamy mushroom sauce with garlic and dijon

    Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and they lose their liquid.

    Add the garlic and stir for one minute. Add the herbs and cook for 2 more minutes. Don't let the garlic burn.

    Stir the flour into the mushrooms and cook for 1 minute. Add the wine, mustard, and cream. Whisk until smooth and bubbly. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.
