Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups portabella mushrooms, sliced (or button mushrooms)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 1 1/4 cups whipping cream
How To Make creamy mushroom sauce with garlic and dijon

Step 1Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and they lose their liquid.

Step 2Add the garlic and stir for one minute. Add the herbs and cook for 2 more minutes. Don't let the garlic burn.

Step 3Stir the flour into the mushrooms and cook for 1 minute. Add the wine, mustard, and cream. Whisk until smooth and bubbly. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.
