whole milk, at room temperature
2 Tbsp
butter
2 Tbsp
flour
to taste
salt and pepper

How to Make Cream Gravy

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium,
  • 2Whisk in the flour and cook for a minute. Be sure it doesn't brown.
  • 3Slowly whisk in the milk.
  • 4Raise the temperature and continue whisking until it starts to thicken. About 5 minutes.
  • 5Add the salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6I use about 1/2 teaspoon salt and a generous amount of pepper.
