Ingredients
- 1 pound pork sausage, sage flavored
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1 quart milk
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
How To Make country sausage gravy

Step 1Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium low heat.

Step 2Add onion; cook and stir until transparent.

Step 3Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings.

Step 4Stir in flour; cook over medium low heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden.

Step 5Stir in milk.

Step 6Add seasonings; cook, stirring, until thickened.

Step 7To serve, slice biscuits and spoon gravy over halves.
