- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (28 ounce) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound cooked thin spaghetti

Step 1In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat oil; add onion and garlic. Cook 5 minutes; add ground beef. Cook until brown; drain.

Step 2Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and seasonings; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered 20 minutes. Serve sauce over hot cooked pasta.
