How to Make Chicken Gravy with Mushrooms


  1. Melt butter in a deep, 1-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole in microwave oven for 30 seconds.
  2. Blend in flour and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until smooth.
  3. Heat, uncovered, in microwave 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Gradually stir in chicken stock.
  4. Add mushroom slices; stir to combine.
  5. Heat, uncovered, in microwave 4 minutes or until gravy is thickened and smooth.
  6. Stir every 60 seconds during cooking.
  7. Makes 1 cup.
