How to Make Black Pepper Cream Gravy


  • 1In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter/bacon fat.
  • 2Whisk in the flour.
  • 3Saute the flour until lightly browned.
  • 4Remove pan from the heat.
  • 5Pour the milk into the pan in a steady stream, whisking constantly.
  • 6Return pan to the heat.
  • 7Whisk until the gravy thickens.
  • 8Whisk in the cream, salt and pepper.
  • 9Keep warm until needed.
