BISCUITS

2 c
all-purpose flour (must be)
1 tsp
salt
3 tsp
(heaping) baking powder
1/4 c
vegetable oil
3/4 c
powdered milk
1 c
water to mix you may need more or less

GRAVY

1/2 c
no salt butter
1/2 c
all purpose flour
dash(es)
salt and pepper to taste
3 c
may need more depends on how thick or thin you like the gravy.i use whole milk but you can use 2%

How to Make BECKY'S BISCUITS"N"MILK GRAVY

Step-by-Step

  • 1IN A LARGE BOWL ADD ALL DRY INGREDIENTS.WHISK TO BLEND.
  • 2MAKE A HOLE IN THE FLOUR MIXTURE ADD OIL AND 1/2 THE WATER.ADD WATER MIX WELL UNTIL THE DOUGH IS TACKY.
  • 3POUR DOUGH OUT ON A FLOURED SURFACE.KNEAD DOUGH UNTIL NO LONGER TACKY.
  • 4PINCH ENOUGH DOUGH TO MAKE A BISCUIT.PUT IN A WELL OILED PAN AND TURN TO OIL BOTH SIDES.DO THIS UNTIL ALL DOUGH IS GONE.MAKES
  • 5PLACE IN A 375 OVEN FOR 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.MAKES 12 BISCUITS.
  • 6GRAVY:

    MELT BUTTER IN MED.HIGH HEAT.(DO NOT BURN.)ADD SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE.ADD FLOUR 1/4 AT A TIME AND MIX WELL.COOK ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES BEFORE YOU ADD YOUR MILK.YOU DON'T WANT YOUR GRAVY TO TASTE LIKE DOUGH.COOK UNTIL IT'S THE RIGHT CONSISTANCY FOR YOU.POUR OVER BISCUITS AND ENJOY!!
