I love tamarind sauce for dipping Naan. I've heard that most of the small jars of tamarind paste I find at the local grocery store are pretty bad, so I have posted another recipe on how to make your own tamarind paste. This recipe is from "In Nirmala's Kitchen".

How to Make Tamarind Chutney


  1. In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients with about 2 tablespoons boiling water and whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Serve warm or let cool and store in an airtight container; refrigerate until ready to use. Stir well before serving.
