3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 can pitted tart red cherries, 16 oz
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
dash ground cloves

How to Make Spicy Cherry Sauce


  • 1In medium pan, mix about 1/2 of the sugar, the cornstarch and dash salt
  • 2Stir in orange juice and lemon juice. Stir in undrained cherries, cinnamon and cloves.
  • 3Cook and stir over medium heat til thickened and bubbly; cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more. Stir in remaining sugar. Serve warm with ham or pork.
