12 ccooking apples, cored, pared and thinly sliced

How to Make Spiced Applesauce: DIABETIC FRIENDLY
- Place apples in a four quart crockpot.
Combine sugar, sugar substitute,cinnamon and nutmeg.
Mix with apples. Stir in lemon juice.
- cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or high for 2.5 to 3.5 hours.
- this will be a chunky sauce..You can put it through a sieve or blend it in a blender if you want it smooth.
Serve hot or cold.
