cranberry chutney with southern comfort and apples
I love making up cranberry recipes. Made this one this Thanksgiving for my family and it really went over quite well. It jells up so nicely that I thought I would put it in a can to cool next year and serve it as though it were store bought and watch for the smiles as they taste it!

How To Make cranberry chutney with southern comfort and apples
-
Step 1Place first 3 ingredients in sturdy pot and set on medium and stir frequently. The cranberries and apples will break down. Do not add water. Cook until mushy consistency
-
Step 2Add about half of southern comfort and the spices. Continue cooking on low. The longer you cook it the more it will break down and jell as it cools. I like it pretty Jelled so cook at least another hour on low
-
Step 3When the spices give off there fragrance add rest of the southern comfort and cook about 10 more minutes.
-
Step 4This is great with Turkey but also as a dessert with whip cream!
