- 1 can pitted royal ann cherries in heavy syrup
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch - the tablespoon should be heaping

Step 1Drain syrup off the cherries directly into a small saucepan, reserving the cherries for later.

Step 2Add all ingredients, except cherries, to the syrup, stirring over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.

Step 3Add cherries and heat through and serve over meat of your choice.
