1 can(s)pitted royal ann cherries in heavy syrup
2 Tbspcider vinegar
1 Tbspgranulated sugar
1/4 tspground ginger
1 Tbspcornstarch - the tablespoon should be heaping

- Drain syrup off the cherries directly into a small saucepan, reserving the cherries for later.
- Add all ingredients, except cherries, to the syrup, stirring over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
- Add cherries and heat through and serve over meat of your choice.
