Ingredients

  • 1 can pitted royal ann cherries in heavy syrup
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch - the tablespoon should be heaping

  • Step 1
    Drain syrup off the cherries directly into a small saucepan, reserving the cherries for later.
  • Step 2
    Add all ingredients, except cherries, to the syrup, stirring over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  • Step 3
    Add cherries and heat through and serve over meat of your choice.
