I got this recipe from my ex-husband's cousin years ago. You can let your imagination go crazy on this one from putting it on ice cream to chicken, ham, pork chops etc. It really is delicious! I have never tried to can this recipe, if anyone does and succeeds, please let me know with all the details! Prep Time includes grinding plums along with adding ingredients to your pot. I have not made this for 2 years now and I honestly can't remember how long it takes to become glossy. I tried to estimate; please watch sauce carefully so it doesn't burn. You won't be disappointed.

6-8 1/2 - 1 pint jars
Ingredients
- 4 cups plums, ground
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 3 ounces white vinegar
How To Make plum sauce

Step 1Add all ingredients to cooking pot except white vinegar and cook until glossy on low simmering heat.

Step 2Add white vinegar and cook 5 minutes more.

Step 3Allow to completely cool. Freezes well and will keep in refrigerator for a few weeks.
