pineapple sauce & glaze for ham

I got this recipe from a co-worker many years ago. It is so good and many people have asked me for the recipe and they all use it today. I double it for leftovers and to cover my baked ham at the last fifteen minutes of baking. Hope you enjoy it too! I have used this with Roast Pork, pork chops as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (8 1/2 oz) crushed pineapple (with syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

How To Make pineapple sauce & glaze for ham

  • Step 1
    Mix brown sugar, cornstarch and salt in small saucepan. Stir in crushed pineapple with syrup, lemon juice and mustard.
  • Step 2
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
  • Step 3
    Boil one minute while stirring.
  • Step 4
    Makes 1 3/4 cup.
