Ingredients

  • 8 pounds pears
  • 2 pounds sugar
  • 6 large bell peppers, 3 green, 3 red
  • 1 tablespoon tumeric
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon mixed spices: stick cinnamon,allspice,cloves, tied in a bag
  • 6 cups vinegar

How To Make pear relish

  • Step 1
    Grind peppers and drain; do not squeeze. Mix all the ingredients and put in a large pot. add the vinegar. Boil for 30 minutes. Pack in jars and seal. Delicious on purple hull peas..
