This syrup is good on Gingerbread waffles or regular ones.Good to pour on a cake after baking to keep moist also.
1/3 c lemon juice
1 t. cornstarch
2/3 c water
1 c. sugar
zest of 1 lemon
1 drop yellow food coloring,optional
How To Make
Whisk lemon juice and cornstarch together in a saucepan.Add water and sugar,cook until thick and bubbling,stirring often.Remove from heat.Add zest and optional food coloring.
