Instant Pot applesauce in a mason jar. You can double or triple for more jars. This recipe made 1 quart and a pint of applesauce. Great for gift giving with a bow around it.

Ingredients
- 8 apples, Granny Smith or any large you want
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1/2 a squeezed lemon
- 1/2 - 1 cups sugar (you don't have to use sugar and go by the taste how much to add)
- 1 tablespoon butter, room temperature
How To Make instant pot applesauce

Step 1Peel, core, and slice large apples. Pour water into the pot and add butter (keeps the foam down).

Step 2Add apples to the pot and rest of ingredients. Secure lid and put dial on pressure.

Step 3Cook for 8 minutes. Let it natural release for 10 minutes; then quick release.

Step 4When done, put in a blender for smoother or a potato masher for chunkier applesauce.

Step 5Pour into jars with a funnel leaving 1/2 head space. Store in refrigerator for 2 weeks.

Step 6Can also can them in a water bath. Putting applesauce in hot jars and hot lids and screwing rings tightly. Adding them boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Remove with tongs and label. They last 1 year.
