  • 1 bag(s)
    12-oz bag cranberries
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 c
    pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp
    crystallized ginger, chopped

How to Make Gingered Cranberry Sauce


  1. Combine cranberries, 3/4 cup water, sugar, orange zest, and ground ginger in a heavy medium saucepan over medium-high heat Cook until cranberries burst, stirring frequently , about 5 minutes.
  2. Transfer sauce to a food processor and add maple syrup - process until almost smooth. Stir in chopped crystallized ginger.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
