fresh cranberry apple sauce

I love "homemade" recipes. I found this recipe on cdkitchen website and thought it sounded delicious. Today I made it and it's great !! I made some for my next door neighbors. It is made from Fresh Cranberries and orange juice, the flavor is great and I expect it to be great with dressing tomorrow. My sister loves it too. So...Here is a tested recipe folks...GOOD !!

Ingredients
- 1 package 12 ounce size fresh cranberries
- 1 large red delicious apple, peeled and grated into small pieces.
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- `1/4 cup karo syrup, light or dark
How To Make fresh cranberry apple sauce

Step 1Wash cranberries with cool water and drain well. Discard any soft or discolored berries.

Step 2Combine cranberries, diced apple, sugar, orange juice, and corn syrup in a 2-1/2 to 3 - qt sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 to 8 minutes or until slightly thickened. I love to watch the Cranberries pop !! Cool and pour into pint jars to cool. Keep refrigerated.
