Our family is somewhat divided regarding cranberry relish vs cranberry sauce. Personally, I like both but I sure do love the discussions at the dinner table about who likes which one better and why. Hilarious when you have teenagers!

This recipe smells very festive while it's cooking.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 12 oz
    fresh cranberries (can use frozen but fresh is best)
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice
  • 1/2 c
    water (1/4 if using frozen cranberries)
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    orange zest
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp
    cloves

How to Make Cranberry Sauce Slow Cooked

Step-by-Step

  1. Dump cranberries into slow cooker.
  2. Combine all other ingredients into a bowl and mix together then pour over cranberries. Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-7 hours.
