This is a quick and easy recipe. I usualy make the traditional cranberry relish with the navel oranges peel and all ground up. But this year I will be eating this..I had a little left over from the quart jar so I had it with the pork chops I had for dinner today..very nice accompaniment.
prep time5 Min
cook time10 Min
bag whole cranberries
stevia or other powdered sweetener
can mandarin oranges slices, well drained, reserve juice
How To Make
Combine water and both sugars in a small saucepan. Stir and bring to a boil.
Add the cranberries and bring back to a boil, stirring every once in awhile.
When the second boil begins turn down heat and simmer for 8 minutes..until berries begin to pop...Smash most of the berries with masher or fork. Remove from heat.
Add drained mandarian orange slices and gently stir into berry mixture. Pour into your serving dish, cover and chill until needed.
To save room in my fridge I poured mine into a quart mason jar.
