cinnamon apple cranberry sauce
Not even gonna lie. I ripped this off Foodnetwork/ Aaron McCargo Jr. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/aaron-mccargo-jr/cinnamon-apple-cranberry-sauce-recipe-1949092 I did make this last year for Thanksgiving. We don't even like cranberry sauce, but I saw him make it on TV and it just looked good. The boys LOVED it. I used the left overs on biscuits and waffles. It is a keeper and can be made several days in advance.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cranberry juice
- 6 ounces sweetened dried cranberries ( i have used fresh frozen cranberries also)
- 1 - cinnamon stick broken in 1/2
- 1 cup sugar (or sweetner)
- 2 - gala apples (i used granny smith)
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
How To Make cinnamon apple cranberry sauce

Step 1In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the cranberry juice, cranberries, cinnamon and sugar. Bring to a boil and let cook for 5 minutes.

Step 2Add the apples and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have softened and apples are tender, about 5 minutes.

Step 3Remove 8 ounces of the liquid to a small bowl and whisk in the cornstarch. Slowly add the cornstarch-juice mixture (slurry) to the cranberry mixture, stirring constantly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 4Remove from heat and pour into a serving bowl. Refrigerate until thickened, about 30 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks and serve.
